ENGAGEMENT SESSION IN ROME: A NIGHT AT THE COLOSSEUM

PLAYING WITH LIGHT AND MOTION TO CREATE SOMETHING SPECIAL

When choosing the perfect background for your photos, Rome has a lot to offer. Still, one of the most famous and requested areas, is the one around the Colosseum. And it’s easy to see why - this ancient amphitheater is more than just a monument; it’s a symbol of eternity, of time standing still in the centre of a vibrant city that never stops moving.

This monument has two different faces - day & night - and depending on the time of the day you choose to meet for your photoshoot, the mood will be completely different. At night time, the Colosseum changes skin: there’s something magnetic about its arches glowing in the night, standing still in a city with a bustling nightlife.

But when a place has been photographed millions of times, how do you make it feel personal? That’s the challenge I love to take on. Instead of capturing the Colosseum as a postcard perfect backdrop, I started to play with movement, contrast, and the glow of the city lights, and let intimate and special moments between Victoria and Michele unfold themselves in front of my camera.

In the end, the goal is always creating something unique an special for each couple.
